The correct operation of the jack is

1. For manual transmission models, pull up the handbrake while the transmission is in 1st gear or reverse gear (don't forget when starting again); for automatic transmission models, also pull up the handbrake while the transmission is in P position.

2. Place the jack under the car for lifting operations.

Because the jack of a family car usually supports one wheel, if it is parked on a sloping ground, the relative position of the jack and the car body may change after the jack is raised. The angle changes on the slope above the angle. If the fault location happens to be on a slope, it is recommended to clamp the wheels with tools such as bricks or wood to prevent them from sliding.
